ASK Launches the New A4 Compact

September 21st 1998 - ASK asa,a leading manufacturer of high-resolution LCD projectors and presentation technology, today launched the A4 compact, one of the world's smallest projectors within the LCD ultra-portable class. The A4 compact weighs only 3.5kg, comes with a compact and durable design, and has one of the brightest light sources on the market at 650 ANSI lumens.

The A4 Compact is suited for the mobile business professional in need of a lightweight projector that easy to use, with a high quality image and the ability to project from a range of multimedia sources - computer, video, stereo audio. With true 800 x 600 SVGA resolution, infrared remote control and utilizing the latest polysilicon technology, the A4 compact delivers outstanding performance.

"The new A4 compact is our first projector to break through the important 10lb weight barrier described as the "ultra-portability limit" in the US." says Jorn Eriksen, Vice President of Technology and Development. The A4 compact projector can be used with any PC or Macintosh to project business presentations, computer training sessions, on-line workgroup meetings or any computer or video information to large and small groups of people. With user-friendly menu control, an integrated zoom lens, 2 dynamic stereo speakers, 1 computer input and up to 2 video inputs, the A4 compact offers the flexibility to be used in any presentation environment.

"We have also added a 64 bit digital gamma correction to the A4 compact making projected photographic images and video sequences far more colour accurate than on comparative polysilicon projectors," added Jorn.
