Set one year after the events of Nightwatch, this continues the story of an enforced truce between the Light and the Dark others, which are overseen by two watches -night and day! In Russia, Anton (Khabensky) discovers that his son Yegor is a 'Great Dark One' and is working for the other side. Anton works with Svetlana, but secretly hides evidence of his son's actions. In desperation he seeks an artefact known as the Chalk of Fate, which will enable him to rewrite history. Events will come to a head at Yegor's birthday.
A strong sequel that shows that even the keepers of the truce have to bend the rules more than once. It features a major battle in Moscow with the destruction of a lot of real estate, tons of special effects such as a car driving across the face of a tall building and even time travel.
